ALICE

Clinton City Schools is undergoing a three year process to become an ALICE certified organization. ALICE Training helps schools, businesses, healthcare organizations and houses of worship better prepare their most valuable assets — their people — to prevent, mitigate, respond to, and recover from a violent critical incident.

Teachers and staff began learning about ALICE Training in an online platform in the Fall of 2019. Certified ALICE trainers, John Lowe and Officer Donald Fisher will begin staff review and simulation training during the spring semester of 2020..

John Lowe and Officer Fisher will be sharing additional information with students at the middle and high school levels and will be working with staff at our K-5 schools to determine the best way(s) to share information with our younger students. One of the ways we may share information about ALICE with our youngest students is by using a specially written book titled "I'm Not Scared, I'm Prepared" published by The National Center of Youth Issues.
