We are very excited to offer new orientation training for all of our Substitute Teacher in Clinton City Schools. This will be mandatory training in order to be an approved substitute teacher for our school district.

The VIRTUAL training is offered by the App-Garden University. There are many benefits to you as a sub such as the ability to train anytime and anywhere you have access to internet. It is so important that we as a district keep you current on the board policies and procedures as well as giving you great tips and ideas for being a successful substitute teacher. This training is required of all subs in order for our district to meet compliance requirements. For this training click here.

Once you complete this training course you will be given a certificate of completion which may be printed and kept for your records. The district office will access a report of your completion and this will also be a record of your intent to sub this year.

Please provide a copy of your Effective Teacher Training certificate. If you have not completed this training you may do so here or at Sampson Community College.

Requirements: Three professional references, one of which must be a current or former supervisor. If you are not a licensed teacher, or have never been a licensed teacher you must complete Effective Teacher Training.  This training enables you to be a non-certified substitute.

Employment: Variable hours and days as needed. Clinton City Schools does not guarantee a minimum or maximum number of work days or hours for substitutes.

Pay grade:
Certified - $135.00/day
Non-certified - $112.50/day

Preferred Qualifications:
Current or expired teaching license from any state.
Minimum of one year experience as a classroom teacher.
